High Quality Polymer Modified Flexible Cementitious Coating

ALFASHIELD FLEXO 200 is a two component highly flexible waterproofing system. The dried system provides excellent adhesion, waterproofing properties, crack bridging, elongation, flexibility apart from UV stable coating. Hence the coating can be exposed to conditions.

  • Anti-carbonation: A membrane of 1.5 to 2mm provides an excellent shield against the penetration of carbon dioxide and chloride ions.
  • Waterproofing, Vapour Permeability: Excellent resistance to ingress of water.

Field of Application / Uses:

  • Basements, Raft, Retaining Walls, Roof slabs, such as parking decks, roof decks
  • Podium slabs, Green Areas, Planter boxes
  • Waterproofing under terrazzo or tile floors, shower-pan, kitchen, laundry and bathroom floors.

Application Instructions

Surface Preparation: The surface must be strong & free from dirt, dust & loose particles. Thoroughly wire brush the surface & clean the dust by air compressor or wash the surface with water. Oil & grease must be removed using degreasing solvents. Any damaged surface must be repaired using polymer modified repair mortar.

Mixing: Shake well the liquid component to a homogenous milky color. Before mixing, transfer the entire quantity of the liquid component into a suitable clean mixing vessel. Gradually start adding the powder component under constant mixing with a stirrer using a pneumatic or electric power tool (1kw) at slow speed (250 – 300 rpm) for 3-5 minutes to a homogeneous & uniform free-flowing slurry. After proper surface preparation, apply 2 coats of ALFASHIELD FLEXO 200 mixed slurry in perpendicular directions. Water can be added to make the slurry brushable if thick. Apply a minimum of 2 coats with a thickness of 1.5mm per coat. Leave it to dry for 24 hours. In the case of swimming pools or water tanks, leave it for 7 days before filling it with water, as well as conducting mock-up or ponding tests on-site.
