Single Component Polyurethan Sealant

ALFASEAL PU-40 is a one-component, medium-modulus polyurethane sealant that cures on exposure to atmospheric humidity. It possesses excellent adhesion to all typical construction materials such as cement based materials, brick, ceramic, glass, wood, galvanized and painted sheet iron and various plastics.

Areas of Application:

JALFASEAL PU-40 is used for bonding various construction materials and as a sealing joint.

Joints around windows
Skirting boards
Walls and ceilings
Door frames
External and internal crack filling
Saw cut joints in concrete roads and factory floors

Restrictions

Avoid application below 5 °C and above 35 °C
Avoid application in foggy conditions

Movement Accommodation:

Butt joints – Movement in tension and compression: 5%
Lap joints – Movement in shear: 10%

Application Instructions

Joint Preparation: The joints must be clean, dry and free from all contamination. The surfaces should be de greased with an appropriate cleaner. Insertion of Backup Material: Where applicable, appropriate joint filler ex. closed cell polyethylene foam should be used to provide the correct depth of joint.

Packing: ALFASEAL PU-40 is available in 600 ml sausage.
