Solvent Base Water Repellent

ALFA SEAL S-100 is composed of fluorocarbon resin in combination with Silanes/ polysiloxane dispersed in high boiling point solvent. It is used for waterproofing of concrete & cementitious vertical walls of buildings because it penetrates deeply into the substrate & provides an effective water repellent protective coating. It does not change the appearance of the substrate & the water-repellent coating is UV resistant and durable.

Application Instructions

Backing should be prepared by cleaning to remove surface contaminants including mould growth with particular attention being paid to residual release agent which might stain the surface and reduce efficiency. Where old surfaces have residues of decorative paints these should be removed. ALFA seal S-100 is efficient because it penetrates deeply into the porous surfaces and any inhibition of this action will reduce life and efficient repellency. Any structural defects
particularly mortar joints must be made good before application.

Backing should be free from surface moisture at the time of application although ALFA seal S-100 is tolerant of backing containing some water and will allow drying out to take place normally.
