ALFA HEAT GUARD is a single component heat reducing elastomeric acrylic coating composed of acrylic resin, ceramic hollow micro sphere, pigments, reinforced fillers and additives. It is used as a waterproofing and heat reflective coating on roofs and exterior walls resulting in substantial reduction in power consumption, due to its good SRI value.
Features
- Excellent UV and IR resistance-Enhance environmental protection.
- Algae and fungus resistance-long lasting film properties
- Substrate temperature reduction up to 10˚C in the peak summer
- Protective and waterproofing-keeps the concrete slabs surface temperature lower hence
- reduction in thermal stresses and subsequent development cracks.
Benefits
- Ensures durable bond & resists peeling, chipping, hence lasts longer.
- Highly Resistance to oxidation, UV & ozone.
- Provide insulation or cooling effect.
- liminates costly forms of other roofing system.
- Withstands expansion/contraction & deck movements, Resists Crack.
Application Area
- Roof & Terrace, Basements, Walking Desk and balconies, Stair ways & pool area, Asbestos roofs.
- Aluminum Sheet roofs, wooden roofs, Commercial buildings, Shades & warehouses, Mobile
modular homes. - Weather resistant membrane, Corrosion under insulation(CUI), Air conditioned building,
Refrigerated cold storage facilities, Green buildings
Method of Application
SURFACE PREPARATION: surface should be clean free of dirt, gravel, dust and oil, concrete and cementitious substrate are to be well compacted and at least 28 days old, with toweled finish. Wood panels or metal sheeting should be solidly fixed & cleaned. Bio wash for killing fungus where necessary.
Method of Use: Prime the prepare surface with ALFA HEAT GUARD water diluted in the ratio of 1:2 post drying of primer, Apply 1st & succeeding coats. Apply by brushes, squeegees, roller or airless spray equipment, Allow full curing of each coat (Approx. 8-10hrs) Before next coat ALFA HEAT GUARD is water dilutable up to 10-15% for 1st coat., 10-15% for 2nd coat. Ensure complete curing (approx.48-72hrs) before exposure to water. For best results, apply when surface and ambient temperature are above 13˚C and below 40˚C.
