ALFA INJECT PU-27 is a single component very low viscous, solvent-free, hydrophobic grout based on polyurethane. In contact with water, in a uniform, closed environment forms a foam and makes the pores watertight. Foam so generated is elastic and flexible. Reaction with water yields a flexible polyurethane foam. Can be injected with a one- component pump. The reacted material does not shrink or swell. Depending on the pressure of Injection, ALFA INJECT PU-27 reacts to a very dense material or foam.
Advantages:
No reaction takes place unless it is in direct contact with water. The free foaming expansion in contact with water is up to 27 times. The reaction speed (foam formation) is anywhere between 15-20seconds based on the temperatures of the mixed material, the structure and the contact water, plus the hydrodynamic conditions.
Recommended : uses ALFA INJECT PU-27 is used for permanent watertight sealing with some flexibility to absorb limited movement, in dry, damp or water-bearing cracks and joints in concrete, brickwork and natural stone.

Surface preparatio
Leaking areas of honeycomb concrete must be cut back on chisel chased to a depth of 15 – 25 mm. all the damaged, unsound and porous concrete must be removed. Laitance, grease, mold oils or other contaminants must be removed and cleaned with water jet blasting. Seal all visible cracks of more than 2 mm with suitable polymeric mortar.
